Re: Signus: The Artefact Wars
@Farox Question: How did you create the icon? I think it’s a DualPNG, but no programme on PC or Amiga can extract the two PNG images. On AROS, I discovered that, strangely enough, if you drag your icon onto Icon Clone, the two PNG images that make up your icon are ‘automatically’ saved to RAM; see the attached video. The standard DualPNG icons I create can be renamed to .PNG, after which they will be visible and manageable by all applications as standard PNG images.

Re: Signus: The Artefact Wars
please check if you have downloaded version "signus-1.96.1-win32.zip" that is not contain the datas. The 1.96.0 version is the full one and is a 682MB zip file, instead the 1.96.1 is only 1.46MB.

Re: Signus: The Artefact Wars
I’m not sure if it’s down to the translation, but in the “signus-1.96.0-win32.zip” archive in the link you posted, there are no “en” or “nolang” folders; there’s just the binary, two Readme files and a file called “default_signus”. After checking a bit, I found that the ‘en’ and “nolang” folders are actually in the ‘Source code (signus-1.96.1.tar.gz)’ archive.

Re: Signus: The Artefact Wars
Well i already writed on the first post. Extract the 2 directory "en" and "nolang" along with signus executable. You should have 3 dirs in total "en" "nolang" and ".signus", next at signus exe and default_signus.ini and the other few readme files. If you have changed the icon of the program, remember to add in Tooltype section this string: SIGNUS_DATA_DIR=PROGDIR: otherwise you could have the message reported.

Re: Signus: The Artefact Wars
@Farox Where should the DAT files be copied? I’m getting an error saying “GRAPHICS.DAT” not found, and Sashimi isn’t helping.

Re: Signus: The Artefact Wars
Signus: The Artefact Wars Classic turn-based strategy war game similar to the old Battle Isle series. Commercially released in 1998, open-sourced by the original authors in 2002. This is the SDL2 port for AROS x86_64-V11 of the game Signus: The Artefact Wars. Download from the Aros Archives https://archives.arosworld.org/?function=showfile&file=game/strategy/signus.x86_64-aros-v11.zip Visit this link to have more info about the game https://signus.paan.cz/en/ For space reasons the data is NOT included in this archive. To install the required datas needed to play go to https://github.com/signus-game/signus/releases and download the package for Win32 (signus-1.96.0-win32.zip) that is complete with datas. Extract only the datas (only the 2 dirs en, nolang ) from the zip package into the desired directory where reside the signus executable and the other few files contained in this package. The 'cs' dir is needed only if you want to play using the Czech language. If you want to disable the intro animations to speed up loading, go to .signus directory open signus.ini and change play_intros = 1 ; to zero this works only for the first (intro) anims, not for the few anims where every mission is loading. If you find bugs, please report here.

Re: RetroArch for AROS
It asks so basically if you have roms (games) already on your system. If you do not have you can skip that. It also asks for some emulators which need special roms (not games), for example the PSX emulator needs the rom for psx. You can find those (with doubtful legal standing ^^) on the net somewhere. The installer tells you the filenames of the files it needs, google is a powerful tool ^^

Re: RetroArch for AROS
During the installation it asks me to add the ROMs of various emulators, but maybe they are not included or I am doing something wrong

Re: Dungeonkeeper for AROS 64 Bit
I now restarted the work to port Dungeonkeeper to AROS64. Today I finished porting over my codechanges from 1.3.2 Stable to 1.4.0.0 Alpha and Managed to compile AmigaOS versions (AmigaOS4 and 68k, not WarpOS yet) of 1.4.0.0 Alpha. Now I am trying to get that version ported to AROS64 (according to authors of keeperfx, 1.4.0.0 Alpha already contains 64 Bit fixes). It will not support Multiplayer though as 1.4.0.0 Alpha only supports Multiplayer through the enet library, which I think is not available on AROS (not on AmigaOS either). On 1.3.2 Stable they still had TCP/IP multiplayer in but they removed this in the Alpha sadly.

Re: Dungeonkeeper for AROS 64 Bit
i got it as far as the landview screen when starting the campaign. after that are serious 64 bit issues. but next version of keeperfx will be 64 bit clean so i will then work at it again (appearently released in around 1 month). as i in meantime have a sdl1 version for amigaos i might look into a aros32 version before that time. right now focussing on optimizing the amigaos 68k version though.

Re: RetroArch for AROS
@MagicSN I’ve tested the RetroArch version posted on ArosArchive; it works very well on AROS One 64-bit. I’ve noticed that - The script to launch RetroArch requires a stack; otherwise, a Guru error appears when you select “History” from the menu. I used the value 120000 - The MPlayer included in the package is the AROS 32-bit version Questions: - When navigating through the menus, how do you return to the Main Menu? - The package contains three installers: ‘RetroArch_AROS_Installer’, “RetroArch_NeoGeo_Installer” and ‘RetroArch_Installer’. Do you need to install them all, or is RetroArch_AROS_Installer sufficient?

Re: Dungeonkeeper for AROS 64 Bit
No new cores planned currently. But if you have one specific in mind, tell me which one (I fear all the "easy" ones are done). At one point probably 3DHW needs to get addressed, but that is not so easy, did not even get it running yet on AmigaOS4 where I am much more knowledgable. Please note if anyone needs to know how to compile a RetroArch Core, feel free to contact me at tirionareonwe@gmail.com. Also uploaded RetroArch AROS to Aros archives and Aminet finally (if you do not have the Betaversion there might be some new cores in there). It especially includes the Sega Saturn Core (but without 3DHW it is pretty slow, I guess the Saturn Core needs at minimum an i7 to run decently).
