Rufus up to version 3.20 works perfectly with Win7. The new 4.x versions of Rufus on the contrary, as reported by "Amigamia" do not support native AROS images well.

@Puni I noticed that if in the Libs/Hollywood path there is the library "avcodec.hwp", some audio tracks are disturbed, only loud hissing can be heard, basically the audio file seems to be corrupted, if I delete the library "avcodec.hwp" everything works perfectly ! Identifying the cause of the corruption of musical pieces was not easy ! The tracks that can be heard badly are: Void-FB11 - First Track Void-FB14 - Second Track

Hi, Just uploaded Feedback 14 to AROS Archives, but messed up the filename of the archive. It is called "void-fb14-aros.i386-aros.zip_.zip", but should be "void-fb14-aros.i386-aros.zip". Hope this can be fixed. :-) Thanks in advance! I could not find an option to change the name after it had been uploaded.

Hi, Great, it is one method we advise if you have issue on a particular machine is to swap with storage device from one that works to see if solves it (you usually can swap storage devices without AROS worrying unlike windows :-)).

I can't believe, how easy it was to install my own music tracker machine. Only one Computer died through this experience. **** it should be the machine that runs it all. :'-( But i read that Fujitsy Siemens Futros were good supported. I didn't expect a Transmeta CPU could work. But something strange happened, i tested if the card with an installed system would work on a S400. It did work. OMG! The next step was to install AROSone on a 8GB card on the S300 and then move the card to an S400. These two S400 works with an 750 MHz AMD CPU instead of 800 MHz Transmeta CPU. And now my surprise: Protrekkr is working how it should and the sound isn't too quit. It is blewing my mind. Okay the graphic isn't updated and i am not sure if sounds too 8bit. Yes, it takes time even just to gain some experience in desktop use, starting with a simple installation of a distribution I think is the main step, icaros desktop is well documented even if obsolete in its code, then as said if you only need a few applications you are on the right track, time to get the basics of the operating system

[/quote] My comment was not addressed to you , I was speaking in general As we have already mentioned AROS is not Windows and it is not Linux, deleting what is "not in the system folders" can be deleted, so you can delete all the contents of the Extras and Tools folder, the only thing to do next is to delete the Assigns from the startups. It's an interesting question. Perhaps relating this to other free time activities can be a good approach. What is the best way to spend holidays? Some people will want to lay on beach or by the pool, have drinks and read book. Others will want a quided tour. Every day in different place, but everything organized, pre-planned and taken care of by someone else just guiding them from attraction to attration. Yet others will want to take a backpack, hitch a ride, walk the trail and enjoy freedome to choose what they explore. Neither of these three approaches is good or bad. Each is simply personal, catering to who you are and what you want. So what's the best way to explore AROS? It's... personal. If you found something that gives you joy and makes you want to explore even more - your are on your right personal path and that's the only thing that matters. Volounteer projects like AROS live and die the by the enjoyment they give to people and people's wilingess to do more. As for "must visited" topics, I honestly couldn't name any without knowing which personal path a person is Wandering ( ;) ). A developer working mostly in cross-compilation will have different set of important topic to visit than a user wanting to do 100% of daily computer usage on AROS. I see that from my person experience where I'm fairly familiar with how AROS kernel works, but AROS shell scripts can surpise me.
