I have ported my platform game "Super Trevor Land" in C for AROS, so that it was able to compile for x64 / ABIv11 / SDL2.
The game now runs at a pleasantly faster speed.

Please let me know if anyone has any problems with the ABIv11 / x64 version of the game.

Hi,

Thanks, works on Native install. Does Trevor D know he's in a game? Is he in any others?
Hi, Thanks, works on Native install.
Thank you for the feedback!
Does Trevor D know he's in a game?
I don't know if he is aware of it.
However, if he would contact me and he would say that he didn't like that, I would of course respect it. In that case, I would replace the game's main character, the opening and closing sequences, and the game's title.
Is he in any others?
I am not aware of any other games in which he appears.

Very nice game! Love the music. I'm still terrible at it - can't pass Level 1 Grin

We need someone to add a trainer: infinite lives, etc Wink

@deadwood,
It's possible—the first level is super easy to beat on the first try. Just jump on top of the little men and then grab the key on the cloud!

@A500Fan
The 32-bit version has been fixed—it was slow!

A few hints:
- Jumping directly onto the lawyers' heads knocks them out without hurting Trevor
- To hang onto a vine, press the "Up Arrow" key after jumping onto it
- Sharks only swim faster when they are facing Trevor
- The robots in Level 4 are invulnerable; you should use the spring to bypass them, as they shoot in every direction
- You defeat the final boss by jumping on his head a total of five times

There are also built-in cheat codes:
- Type "immortal" at the title screen for infinite lives
- Type "jumpto<nr>" to jump directly to a specific level—e.g., "jumpto2" for Level 2

I have now ported "Super Trevor Land" to AROS ARM64.

It runs very smoothly on my Raspberry Pi 3+, featuring hardware-accelerated graphics, sound, joystick support, etc.
Many thanks to the developers who made AROS on the RasPi 3 possible - I love this platform 🙂

If anyone would like to try it out: The easiest way is to go to
https://a500fan.itch.io/super-trevor-land,
click the download button above the text "Raspberry Pi 3B+ (AROS ARM64)," and write the resulting image file to a microSD card for the RasPi using a program like Balena Etcher. Then everything is already pre-configured.

Alternatively, you can download the archive from AROS-Archives:
https://arosarchives.os4depot.net/?function=showfile&file=game/platform/super_trevor_land.aarch64-aros.zip
and extract it onto an existing image.
However, you will then need to configure a few things to get it working correctly - such as increasing the GPU memory to 256 MB.
The steps are described in the accompanying text on AROS-Archives and, in particular, in the first attached comment there.

Can we expect other titles as well? Grin

@A500Fan

that sounds great. Could you do a video with the game running on RPi 3? That would certainly create more interest

@Bohun:
Yes, I would definitely like to develop more titles for AROS, especially for x64 and AArch64 Smile

Thank you :-)
I’m not sure if the video would generate enough interest if it featured only a single game.
However, maybe a good showcase for AROS on the Raspberry Pi is a video where an image is booted up, followed by a brief demonstration and introduction of various apps and games.
I have to think about it.
