Hey everyone,
I'm 43, a dad, and a product manager in a large enterprise by day. By night, I build things. I've wanted to come back to the Amiga for years, and after a couple of false starts I gave AROS another chance a few weeks ago. It feels like the best middle ground for me: a place to actually build something and see how the ecosystem develops, especially now that the legal situation seems settled.
My motivation is nostalgic, but I'm personally more interested in the software side than the hardware side. I'd love to see the platform attract more developers, and I hope I can contribute there.
A bit about what I've built: Postreads.co, an RSS platform, and TinyGenerals.com, an asynchronous multiplayer strategy game. I recently picked up Boxer.app and started migrating it to modern macOS and Apple Silicon, and I've tried to refresh Burntime, among other projects. I work a lot with SDL, so AROS felt like a natural fit. My plan is to port and launch my projects on AROS (and eventually high-end Amigas). As practice, I've also started building a simple football manager game, and to play around with Zune, I made a small frontend for DOSBox.
One thing I want to be upfront about: I use AI tools heavily in my workflow, so I figured transparency is the right move. I'm happy to invest serious time and effort into the platform, and I'm curious how the community here feels about it.
Looking forward to getting involved.

Hello and welcome!
Using AI tools is fine, many of us do this to speed up their work. Glad you already found things that interest you. If you have any questions about development, let us know!
