It's possible that the whole aros-exec.org domain expired. It was bound to happen at some point.
Can you to a redirect from arosworld.org to https://arosarchives.os4depot.net/?
Here is what I got from the admin:
" If the current hostname for arosarchives is lost and you get a new one, just add a CNAME dns entry that points to arosarchives.os4depot.net and things should just continue to work as they do now."
I mean maybe you could create a subdomain on arosworld.org with a redirect to arosarchives.os4depot.net? If not I'll see if I can aget another subdomain redirect.

Sorry I misunderstood you. I think I can. Checking now. I'll try archives.arosworld.org and get back to you.
One quetion though: are you able to add the CNAME entry as the admin wrote in the text I quoted? This should make so that instead of re-directing like now, it would work as previously with archives.arosworld.org being "the" domain I think.
Well yes, I see the option to set the CNAME but when I add archives.arosworld.org and try to point it to arosarchives.os4depot.net it reports a zone error (See screenshots). This is from the web hosting side. On the domain registrar side, it just points me to the web hosting since DNS is managed there.

It is generally not possible to set a CNAME and any other record for the same name. The reason is that a CNAME acts like a redirect to something else. It is meaningless to have a redirect and some other setting at the same time.
If they do the same thing, why am I being asked to put a CNAME when a redirect does the same thing? Like you pointed out, I removed the redirect of my subdomain archives.arosworld.org to arosarchives.os4depot.net and managed to create a CNAME now (See attached) but I see no difference in behavior.

The essence is that there cannot be two entries with the same name. You removed the original redirect and then added CNAME that's why it works now. As for me now everything is ok, thanks!

The change in behavior is visible. Previously archives.arosworld.org only redirected to arosarchives.os4depot.net, and now it is its alias.

Well it was more than just removing the redirect. I had to remove the subdomain as well and that is what was getting me in the error I shared earlier.
As for behavior, I get it now. In essence to the general user it doesn't really make a difference but at the name resolution level it does. I see now that archives.arosworld.org does not resolve to the same IP as arosworld.org but to the shared IP of os4depot.net
