Not really sure, what you are trying to do here and only had a quick look, but you can set the default public screen for any tool started from a cli with the PUBSCREEN variable. So open the pubscreen, set PUBSCREEN to the name and start newcli for example, then the new cli window (and all following windows opened from that window) will appear on that public screen.

At least it used to work on v1.

Wow, I am ignorant. Works perfectly here to just set that global variable to my screen and then back to workbench when needed. Thanks! That's all I need ntromans. Thanks.
