So to clarity: with exactly the same settings, the 32-bit version of ClickToFront allows you to bring window to front by double-clicking on window's title bar while the 64-bit version does not?

That's correct, but as mentioned I have changed the theme from the default so I'll try altering that to see if that's the issue.

Cheers,
Nigel.

I'm using the default theme and it's working.

ntromans, I don't think it's a problem with the theme, If you can attach your system, I could help you find the cause!

Solved it - it's because I also had the Opaque Commodity running. With that removed ClickToFront worked as expected. I've set CX_PRIORITY=5 in ClickToFront's tolltypes and now htey are working together.

Cheers,
Nigel.

P.S. for information, the behaviour does not seem to be reproduceable under 32 bit, i.e. with Opaque and ClickToFront both running with no CX_PRIORITY set you can still click to front using the window title bar.

Not using Opaque also has a graphics bug in both 32-bit and 64-bit! I reported the problem a while ago!

I can't trigger this crash. Can you describe sequence of actions needed?

  • Open Wanserer prefs
  • Select appearance tab
  • Click Advanced for Drawer
  • Select the labels tab
  • Change the number of lines to display (e.g. to 3)
  • On hitting Use => crash

It's a consistent issue, I've tried a few times and always get the crash. When I'm back home I'll try deleting Wanderer global.prefs and starting from scratch in case it's a corrupted prefs file. I'll also try re-downloading the 64 bit iso and picking out the Wanderer prefs program in case it's a corrupted download.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Nope, still can't trigger that (on hosted and native). We need to wait for another person to test this as well.

I had this problem too, but now I can't remember what fixed it. I ran numerous tests:

Try this, one operation at a time, to identify the culprit:

Replace - Wander prefs
Delete Zune preferences and restart the system
Delete Theme and restart the system

Or

Use Preferenze Zune Build reference
Use Theme Build reference
Use Wander prefs Build Wander prefs

Hi,

Been testing deadwoods x64 April 2025 iso native install and the grub vbeinfo showed 600p to 1080p options on an AMD Lenovo V155-15 so I suspect this might be down to the individual bios will allow?

Tried the Wanderer, Appearance, after ticking Use Multiline Labels, was able to change to 3 and pressing Use did not crash

The only issue is that the Elan touchpad does not work but it does not work on AROS One 32bit, is this a settings issue or a new driver needed? Can use keyboard shortcuts to move the mouse but would prefer the touchpad instead. Still to test OWB as I prefer a touchpad to use it.

Noticed that during the starting up of AHI prefs is slower than other prefs but this slowness of drawing continues with other prefs until you shut down. Is this my install only?

Hi Jeff, I don't understand if it works or not on AROS One 32Bit!

Regarding the mouse, you should move it using the “Windows key" + “Arrow keys”

Hi,

Does not work on 32bit and 64bit, so suspect no driver

Thanks, yes

I've seen that before when sound card was not correctly supported and driver was struggling to operate.

Hi,

Just as a follow on for the V155, I have found that the ALC257 audio settings works with no slowdown issue on AmigaSystem's ARos One 2.8 USB but has issues with Deadwoods native x64 iso install after clicking on the AHI Prefs.

Also the rtl8169 driver dhcp auto sets up fine on native 32bit Aros One but does not on the 64bit iso native install.

Just wondered if others have spotted this or do I need to investigate further my end?

Try removing all files except for HDAUDIO from DEVS:AudioModes and see if that helps.
