Perfect now with version 0.19, no crashes, even if the sound is not active, the VAM and VintagePlayer players do not crash when I try to play an MP3.To speed up testing, I included Emuv0 in Doopus so that I can test 32-bit applications with a single click. See video.There are applications that do not work and crash the system (no Guru) such as RNOTune, ZAMP, ZuPaPlayer, MODExplorer, AROSAmp works but cannot be closed (you should close it with the Esc key) and the file request key does not work (causes crashes).
It's possible that IconEditor has a hardcoded path - that is why it is looking for SYS:Classes.
The libraries in EmuV0: are standard 32-bit libraries with no additional changes.
Finder - if it exists for 64-bit already, then I won't specifically be looking at this problem. Possibly solving other tools problems will solve that as well.
Although I use an old DualCore Emuv0 PC with VMware, it works very well, the audio is perfect on Vintage Player, of course I have a good sound card (Creative Audigy).
Even with VAMP Audio and Video, it works the same as the native 32-bit version.
The Hollywood Player ‘MiniSid’ works very well and supports the following audio formats:
MOD, XM, MED, S3M, 8VSX, SID, AC3, AIFF, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, OGG, MP3, WMA, FLAC, M4A, AC3
There is only one problem with the GUI gadgets that crashes the system, but I think it has to do with the graphics issue that is still not working.
Tested new EmuV0 version with some 32-bit software, these are the results:
Image2PDF (Hollywood) = Works, Guru exiting
JoinGUI (Hollywood) = Works, Guru exiting
Hex2 = Works, Guru exiting
ZuneFig = Guru just executed
PicutureAlbum = Guru just executed
RNOSlide = Works, Filerequest crash
Loview (Hollywood) = Works, system crash just executed
ZAMP = Works, system crash just executed
ZuPlayer = Works, system crash just executed
DirList = Works, system crash just executed
AviBuild = Works, Filerequest crash
RNOArchive (Hollywood) = Works fine, crashes after unpacking

ZuneHexEditor = Works fine, Menu does not work
AnimPlayer (Hollywood) = Works fine, Menu does not work
AnimWebConv (Hollywood) = Works fine
Image Viewer (Hollywood) = Works fine
JCalc = Works fine
Thanks for extensive testing. If I resolve any of above issues, I will mention it explicitly in the changelog. Some of the issue can be fixed by fixing other programs, so be sure to re-test, especially crashes with each new version.
Loview = Works well, added the necessary data types to display all types of images.
Image2PDF = Crash on file request or if you try to write on the ‘Source drawer’ bar
FT2Tracker = It works and you can listen to MODs, but the system crashes if you try to close the programme.
Hex2 = Works, Guru appears after tinkering a bit
JoinGUI= Works, Guru on the way out
Changes:
- using keyboard in ft2-clone no longer causes crash
- RNOTunes now starts and plays music
- fixed crash in FileRequester in RNOTunes, might fix similar crashes in other application, please re-test
barsnpipes maybe works, it tells me that the camd.library is not there In the archives of the usbmidi package, there are the source files.
rnotunes and rnopublisher have the problem of text alignment on widgets and buttons
Edited by Amiwell79 on 30-10-2025 06:44, 1 month ago
For me, software like rnopublisher to create texts and rnotunes for multi-format audio is important. In my distribution, there is only the essentials, not all the software available on archives. Anyway, thanks.
deadwood with version 024 many applications work well, the Esc key works to exit, there are only problems with these apps:
Image2PDF = Crashes when requesting files or attempting to write to the “source drawer” bar.
FT2Tracker = Works and you can listen to MODs, but the system crashes if you try to close the programme.
Hex2 = Works, Guru appears after fiddling around a bit.
JoinGUI= Works, Guru on exit.
For FT2Tracker, Hex2 and JoinGUI please record a video of what you are doing to trigger the crash and when crash happens be sure to click "More...". I'm not getting any crashes with these tools doing actions you described.
