Tested Hosted Linux, noticed that the ‘Amiga Left’ key is used by the Linux OS

Left Amiga key = Opens Linux menu

Left Amiga key + Arrow = Cannot be used
Right Amiga key + Arrow = Does not work

F12 key + Arrow = Does not work
F12 key + Arrow = Does not work

With remapamigakey

Left Alt key + Arrow = Does not work
Right Alt key + Arrow = Does not work

OK thanks for the link...but i tested moving the cursor on Aros Hosted and it doesn't work...with or without the program.
It is supposed to work on hosted?

Farox remapamigakey works well with the left Amiga key. You can do the following:

AMiGA Left + Arrows = Moves the mouse pointer. (also works with AMiGA Right)

AMiGA Left + M = Flips through each open screen
AMiGA Left + N = Flips to the Workbench screen
For example, from a game screen or demo, it allows you to move to the Workbench.

You can find all the shortcuts in the attached link, but some of them are not compatible with AROS, for example ‘Copy file that is not present in the Wanderer menu’:

https://wiki.amig..._Shortcuts

EDIT:

With remapamigakey, the reset does not seem to work with the two Alt commands:

CTRL + Left Alt + Right Alt + Cancel = Does not work
CTRL + Left Amiga + Right Amiga + Cancel = Works well (sometimes after the second click)

OK this new version remap
left amiga <-> left alt
and
right amiga <-> right alt

I little tested it and right alt works fine...but i don't know if left alt is working good...someone could tell me
an example of how to test?
Also i renamed the program so i could release on Archive on both i386 and x86_64 when i know that it works.

Thanks Farox! The left alt is left amiga key works just fine. I'm not sure of the menu key because that already exists in Linux Hosted AROS so it might be your program doing that or it might be AROS itself. If it could be right alt is right amiga key that would be perfect. Wow!

Farox, I tested it and it works well ‘amiga left <-> left alt’. Regarding ‘menu <-> right amiga’, this key combination is already available on AROS by default. It might be useful to set it to ‘right alt<-> right amiga’.

If necessary, compile it in 64-bit and give the file a different name so as not to confuse it with ‘amigakeyremapper’ present on Aros arvhive. Thank you.

Compiled AmigaKeyremaper where i remapped some buttons:
[1] remaps left amiga <-> left alt
[2]remaps menu <-> right amiga

Please test if ok.

There is no ComKeyRemapper for AROS, but the package includes the source code. However, I was unable to compile it. If anyone is more experienced than me, perhaps they will be able to compile it in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Amigakeyremaper is available on Aros Archive, but it only serves to invert the Amiga keys. Here too, there are source codes for possible modification and adaptation to your requirements.

Thanks very much,

I was looking for something like https://aminet.ne...eyRemapper for 68k which allows one to remap the right amiga key to various other keys.

You can use the ‘Menu Key’ or the ‘F12 Key’.
The ‘Menu Key’ and ‘F12 Key’ function as the ‘Right Win’ key.

Hi,

My laptop has no right super key and the left super key is used by Linux. Is there a way to remap the right and left amiga keys to the left and right control or alt keys in Linux Hosted AROS? Thanks.

NathanH
