Intriguing, but what is Bellatrix? Searches (even with 'ARM' or 'qemu' added) only turn up the Harry Potter character...

Cheers,
Nigel.

Hello everyone,

I would like to share a recent Bellatrix milestone and provide some context about the screenshot below.

The screenshot shows AROS reaching its boot screen running on Bellatrix in the following configuration:

* bare metal
* Musashi backend
* single-core runtime

Bellatrix is still a work-in-progress project and the architecture is actively evolving. We are currently experimenting with different execution models and runtime configurations, including:

* Musashi backend
* Emu68 backend
* single-core runtime
* multicore runtime

The project is also exploring ARM-side integrations such as USB and Bluetooth support, although all of this is still under development and highly experimental.

At this stage, the goal is less about reproducing a finalized system and more about exploring architecture, runtime organization, chipset behavior, and hybrid execution approaches.

Seeing AROS reach the boot screen in this configuration was an exciting moment for the project and an important validation that multiple subsystems are beginning to work together.

Thanks to the AROS community for making such experimentation possible.

(AI production) ;D
