That's great! I'm just starting to get the hang of it, checking how to recompile stuff for AROS.
I'm thinking of 0 AD but for me at this stage, for next couple of weeks, it's more about trying to make things work rather than actual releases. So don't look at me Smile

The closest to release for now I'd be with a frontend on Dosbox but at the moment I don't hear the sound on QEMU (on macOS) - system works, game launched in Dosbox - not.

A lesson/refresh for me - I spent some time unable to launch the game until I figured that strip is the problem. Then I read a bit more and figured why and what's the way of doing things.

Ok. On my side I'm planning to port a couple of games I really loved immediately on PC Windows when I left Amiga in 1999: Homeworld and Aliens vs Predator. Also back in the day I liked Irrlicht engine and I don't mind to port it on AROS, including 2-3 games based on it that run on AmigaOS 4 (just to do a comparison, too). There is an open version of Syndicate, but it may be a matter of next year, I know the gameplay isn't still 100% close to the original one. Unless you or somebody else have already plans for these games. Smile

Hello,
I've made the AROS 64-bit (v11) porting of the open-source version of this lovely game. I think it will be available on AROS Archives very soon.
It's written in C/C++ and it uses SDL 1.2 plus little bit of OpenGL for custom filtering if enabled via the config file, however I believe it should be fine on slow PCs with old gfx cards.
It requires the original game data, of course, and I've tested it on native AROS (i5-3570s/i7-3770k with Nvidia GTX 560 Ti and GTX 980) as well as hosted AROS under Ubuntu 24.
