Electron is what VS Code is built on.

Along with my upcoming GitHub Desktop port.

Claude code is the anthropic ai agent plugin

Currently it’s ABIv1

What VS Code is, is merely a demo of what electron brings.

It was merely creating the platform glue and then building.

While I didn’t port xterm a created a TUI capable console handler fully Unicode and ansi capable).

I also have codex cli classic and openclaw.

If VS Code is working on AROS which version of AROS? When will it be available? I use VS Code Editor on a regular basis. It would be very useful when I'm compiling small apps in the shell for testing them.

What is Electron? How does it work with VS Code Editor? What is Claude and how does it work with Electron?

It’s a native electron app. It is not just VS Code Web.

Another major milestone for the native Chromium/Node/Electron stack: VS Code now launches and renders its full interface directly on the AROS Workbench.
