AROS Archives - clean up

@deadwood

- DiskImageGUI v52.34 (diskimage.i386-aros.tar.bz2) on Aros-archive does not work well, if you run it twice the second time it does not work.
Also, DiskImageGUI v52.34 uses different paths for images (Classes\ToolbarImages\Default)

DiskImageGUI v52.32 on your Builds works, the required path for images is (Systemes\Images\digfx)

- BackupCopy (backupcopy_v1.0.i386-aros.tar.gz) crashes as soon as it runs

deadwood, I've noticed that the new Aros-exec is much more visited than arosword, I think it's better to unblock the threads you blocked!

I created here a new thread for AROS Archives management - you might have not noticed it. I'll copy your post there.

As for where to post, I'll stick to this forum - I don't want to maintain two parallel threads.

No! This is incorrect, "7z" archives unpack safely on AROS x86, "7z" archives can be unpacked with the commands "7zDec" and "XadUnFile", but also with ZuneARC if configured with one of these two commands !!!

Antiryad GX v4.9 (LTS) can be restored !!!

Antiryad GZ v7.1 also includes the AROS x86 installation, but in the archive the AROS installer installs an older 4.0 version

No 7zdec works fine see screenshot, in my opinion I think it is correct that on aros archive there are the original archives, the author may not agree to change the archives.

Except you are probably doing something wrong, "antiryadgx4_9_install.7z" unzips quietly with "7zdec" see screenshot, you just have to wait as it is a big archive!

I did a test from the Shell with "7zdec" and "XadUnfile", and both in all antiryadgx.7.z Archives, some files are "ignored" and consequently not unpacked, the errors can be seen in the screenshot.

Now I don't know if the problem is those files, or if "7zdec" and "XadUnfile" don't work properly, tested other 7z archives with "7zdec" and "XadUnfile" and everything seems to have worked fine.

Also tried RNOArchive, it too detects errors on the same files, manages to unpack them but they are all '0 Byte' files

UnARC, on the other hand, behaves like '7zdec' and 'XadUnfile', the files in questine are not unpacked.

At this point I think the problem is in antiryadgx.7.z,

yes I ran the command from the shell however with 7z on windows I unpacked the archive without any problems

Yes, on Windows, both WinRAR and 7-Zip unpack the antiryadgx archives correctly, but it is strange that the same errors, and the same files, have the same problem on all three versions of antiryadgx, 4.9, 7.1 and 7.2!

I must try recreating the same 7z archive on Windows and then unpacking it on AROS.

EDIT:

On Windows I recreated a .7z archive with the same files, including those files that did not unzip, and on AROS I had no problem, all the fiules unzipped correctly Smile
