Hi,

I have two laptop both ASUS with I7 processor and intell graphic card. One is quite old while to second one is more recent (2017).
The oldest one is A55V model while the newest is N580VD-FI038T.
I prepared a key with Rufus and ArosOne64 to install it natively on at leas one of the two but on both it starts to the grub menu, then I receive the following message and the boot hang.

WARNING:no console will be available to OS
error: no suitable video mode found

I get the same error on all the other grub options.

Any hint?

Your hardware is definitely not compatible. I had a similar issue with an older i7. You can always use the Aros One Portable version.

Which version of Rufus did you use? Before burning, did you try renaming the USB image file extension from .VHD to .IMG?

An option...check if you have a dual GFX card on your laptops....i searched on web and found that this laptops (both) often have Intel and Nvidia cards.
If you are in this situation, open BIOS and disable external gfx card, and retry.

Have you tried different GRUB menu entries, especially native and VGA options?

thanks on the label states nvidia gforce 610m in the old one then it could be... I will have a try
