Silly question, where can I get the SDL 2 include/lib from? I was reading the previous posts here and it seems it's still incomplete (no OpenGL?) or am I wrong?

SDL2 is in the contrib repository

If you've built your system from source, as described here:
https://arosnews.github.io/how-to-cross-compile-aros-hosted-wsl/

then, from the core-linux-x86_64-d directory, enter the following:

make contrib-sdl2
make contrib-sdl2-sdl-ttf
make contrib-sdl2-sdl-image
make contrib-sdl2-sdl-mixer

and you’ll have SDL2 built

I have ported Exult 1.12.1 to AROS x86_64 ABIv11!

Exult is a project to recreate Ultima 7 for modern operating systems, using the game's original plot, data, and graphics files.

Directories have been created to host the game files, all you need to do is copy the "static" and "gamedat" directories to the right place:

blackgate - Ultima 7 The Black Gate only
forgeofvirtue - Ultima 7 The Black Gate + Forge of virtues
serpentisle - Ultima 7 The Serpent Isle only
serpentbeta - Ultima 7 The Serpent Isle beta version
silverseed - Ultima 7 The Serpent Isle + The Silver Seed

If you want to play Ultima6 Remake v1.3 (lives as a mod for The Black Gate) you need to delete from Ultima6v1.3.cfg this three lines:

I have fixed some problems with ScummVM and OpenGL (for example using OpenGL fullscreen will crash on exit) under SDL2 so I took the chance to update ScummVM SDL2 to 2026.3.0 that was released couple of days ago that support some new games and have some fixes:

Newly Supported Games:

Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island
Noctropolis
Cartoon Carnival
Alfred Pelrock: En Busca de un Sueño
Pilot Brothers: On the Track of Striped Elephant
Pilot Brothers: The Case of Serial Maniac and 5 more games on the same engine

Also this is a brief update on what was fixed and some caveats I noted.

Fixes:
- Fixed crash when quitting using OpenGL and fullscreen
- Fixed "gray screen" problem when switching from SDL Surface to OpenGL and go fullscreen
- Fixed crash when switching from OpenGL to SDL Surface when in fullscreen
- Fixed some crashes with Ultima VI engine

Caveats:
- If you want to play Escape from Monkey Island (monkey4) please use ResidualVM, under ScummVM monkey4 engine is bugged and disabled.
- If you want to play Ultima VI, avoid using "new style" engine setting or it will crash (it is an engine related problem).
