AROS can be customized any way you want. Try customizing and post screenshots. :-)

I apologize if the last discussion didn't go well, but at least we discussed it, some ideas emerged, and a discussion took place. I see it as a very positive thing.

I understand that I can customize it, but my proposal is to improve the Aros base and make it more user-friendly, and after all, the AmigaOS 3.3 developers are doing the same.

Help users find what they need.

Furthermore, if all operating systems are converging on the same ideas, I think it's worth improving.

After all, these are just a few small, light, and not major changes, and perhaps some contributors can make them.

From a pragmatic point of view I would recommend to stick what is there and do something with it, f.e. change icon sets, edit the theme if you have the ability or perhaps find someone who does it. Otherwise it will lead to nothing

I myself will, next to continue on my own distribution and report errors if I find one, will do documentation at a beginner level. I have old amiga magazines where using amiga was explained for starters and try to do something similar. Aros in my view is on one hand something special and much more modern than amigaos but it still has the heritages. And I do not think it makes sense to deny it. Better explain how it works, what structure it is, where are the special files and directories you must know and what you can change where (prefs).

The Look of AROS can be whatever we want it to be. There's more than one way to skin Kitty! Ok, that's meant to be funny! ;-)

Everyone's view of what the Workbench aka Desktop should look like is subjective.

Having a discussion of what tools are needed to help customize AROS quickly and easily is better IMHO.

Tools like Icon Backup which I'm working on, Icon Replacement Tool which I'm also working on, etc.

Especially in demonstration videos being able to show how quickly we can change the window theme, and backgrounds with just a button is really impressive. We need more of that type of discussion.

I'm not talking about graphics. I'm talking about concepts for how things are presented.
Having a gadget at the top with the time and connection would be really convenient, like it is on all other operating systems.

I think donations could be made if anyone wants features in AROS, so I'm not here asking others to do things.

We already have a clock in the screen Titlebar. It was on Icaros.

It uses an invisible borderless window.

Many of your suggestions are already being implemented into Wanderer 2. The work is being done however by a single developer and it's one of the busiest developers in the ecosystem.

in my view we already have 3 desktops available with wanderer, scalos and magellan. Scalos is hardly used, I think I am the only one integrating it at all. Wanderer is widely used, some of the older distributions use magellan. I support all 3.

That is enough in my view, at least for now priority should be on the bases it relies on. Desktop improvements might come later.

Updates to Wanderer are much needed and they would be very beneficial to AROS users.

I have been looking for bugs on the issues that are on the github repositories that I could be able to solve and the last ones have been related to wanderer. I have been thinking about solving https://github.com/aros-development-team/AROS/issues/667 (The Duplicate functionality) on the future.

I didn't know that a Wanderer 2 was on the way, it would be interesting to know what functionalities it's planned to have, and, on the meantime know what lacks the Wanderer that we still have.
I do not mean to read what other OSs are doing and try to figure out, but a list with functionalities that, if needed would be added, well documented, as enhancements on the Issues part of the repositories.

I wouldn't quote me on the exact version ... however the you tube link I posted shows some of the work that's already been done ... I do know he has rebased it against current ABIv1... but this requires his time.
