8 months agoNew Games chosen for AROS One, it is Pyramid multiplatform game available on Aros-archive.
The player's goal is to remove all the cards who compose the pyramid. The steps in
which the game is played are as follows:
1) Draw a card from the remaining cards by clicking on the deck. The drawn card will go
into the discard pile at its right.
2) If an uncovered card in the pyramid is either immediately before or after the discard
card (no matter the suit), that card can be discarded by selecting it with the mouse. The
ace is considered to be adjacent to the king. The discarded card goes into the discard pile.
Repeat the process as long as you can discard further cards in the same way. If there is a
choice between several cards to discard, the player may choose the one he considers
most advantageous. It is possible to reverse the ascending/descending direction of the
sequence at any time. When no cards of the pyramid can be discarded, continue with step
3).
3) If the pyramid cards have all been removed, the player wins, otherwise continue to step
4).
4) If the cards in the deck are finished, the player has lost (program detect itself this
situation and stops the game), otherwise go back to step 1).

7 months agoCreated the Catalogs in Italian for the Applications "ArtBase" and "RNOArchive" !
On "ArtBase" a German menu entry remains in the menu, this part of the Menu is not part of the Catalog but is inside the executable.
RNOArchive does not use Catalog Standard Amiga/Aros but text files in UTF-8
Reports of errors or incorrect translations are welcome, in many cases I have omitted articles to shorten the strings to the same length as in the English catalogue.

When trying v11 ISO I noticed that 'edit' alias is not working on Shell. It is pointing to SYS:Tools/Editor while I think you moved Editor to SYS:Utilities.

7 months agoThanks for pointing that out to me, yes indeed all 'single tools without data folder' I moved them to Utitlities, while all tools with their folder and data are in Tools.
I solved by editing Shell-Startup and now the alias 'edit' works!
In my opinion perhaps they could have named Editor in Edit, as the Preferences Editor has the same name ! in this case the allias would not have been necessary.

7 months agoRegarding AROS One x86 32Bit, if there is no other news I can do it within the next few weeks
About AROS One 68k, I open a Thread named "AROS 68k Bug reports" to report the problems I'm experiencing maybe someone could fix some or find a solution, I also report the best way to run AROS 68k to avoid some Guru !
Contratz on releasing v2.8 version - I will be installing it later today.
I noticed this time there is no update. Is there any technical reason for this?

6 months agoWhen there's a new Core I avoid so that users don't mix, also there are some structural changes among them the inclusion of Magellan.
Another reason is that I have some health problems, including eyes that don't allow me to be near the screen for a long time, now I'm a bit better.
For my last core release, I created a script that compares two ISOs and generates an update. Can you make available the 2.7 ISO? I'd like to try and see if this script works on distributions as well. Maybe at least we can generate a "core" update for people to update their system files without updating third party applications.

6 months agoThanks deadwood, I didn't notice those arrows, actually it's not a Bug, basically in the build they added an image "Gadget" in the Theme named Below, path Ice/images/Gadgets/Below
I usually don't copy Buid Themes, they are always the same and of poor quality !
Copied the Below Gadget into the Aros One Themes, if you haven't found any other relevant issues I will see if I can replace the ISO and the USB Image or create a small fix.
AMIGASYSTEM attached the following image:
I haven't tested further, because I wanted to have a two-partition setup. Let me install in one-partition setup and I will get back to you how things work in an hour or so.
I did a basic installation test and checked if Odyssey is working - all seems fine. One note: Aros Archives link in Odyssey leads to arosarchives.os4depot.net while we now have an alias: archives.arosworld.org.

6 months agoOk thanks deadwood, in the Download I have replaced the ISO DVD, now InstallAROS will correctly show the Gadget ‘Below’ with all the Installed Themes on AROS One (38).
In a few hours the USB image will also be replaced, time to compress it and upload it to Google Drive.
EDIT
The USB IMG Image was also replaced, the missing “Below” Gadget was also present here, and the link to InstallAROS' Wanderer was also added.

6 months agoThanks everyone, let me know if you encounter any problems, in the meantime I have created 2 complete Zune preference skins for the new meterMP3!
AMIGASYSTEM attached the following image:
Thank you very much!
I have downloaded the image and burned it into a usb but, when I try to boot a VMware machine to test it, it does not boot. The virtual machine skips the USB and attempts to boot from the network.
I have tested with several USB drives and VMwares with same result and the image and the system is OK and boots on real hardware.
¿Anyone has any pointers on how to solve this problem?
I know, and booting from the iso image works fine, but I'd like to know why I can't boot from USB.
Perhaps there is something wrong with the host system?
