Re: WipEout Rewrite
I would say outstanding, even on small Netbooks Acer Aspire One ZG5 and Dell Inspiron Mini 910 with supported Video Cards (Intel GMA 945SE and IntelGMA 945GSE) it runs limpito and very fast. WipEout although slow runs even on PCs without supported Video Card (VESA Mode) ditto on Virtual Machines.

Re: WipEout Rewrite
wipEout Rewrite is a re-implementation of the 1995 PSX game wipEout done by phoboslab. Download as usual from AROS Archives http://archives.aros-exec.org/?function=showfile&file=game/driving/wipeout_rewrite.i386-aros.zip This AROS release is based on the work done by Arczi(Arti), that converted the rewrited source code that use SDL2, to use SDL1.2 and OpenGL1.2 his sources for OS3 are available here....https://github.com/arczi84/wipeout-sdl1 Sources of this AROS release are included in the package. This AROS package does not contain the assets (textures, 3d models etc.) required to run the game. Visit the blog https://phoboslab.org/log/2023/08/rewriting-wipeout where you can download a ZIP file with all the datas needed to play, and unzip it into the "wipeout" directory. The directory structure is assumed to be as follows ``` ./wipegame-aros-i386 # the executable ./wipegame-aros-i386.info #the icon ./wipeout # directory where to unzip the datas ./wipeout/textures/ ./wipeout/music/track01.qoa ./wipeout/music/track02.qoa ... ``` Note that the blog post announcing this project may or may not provide a link to a ZIP containing all files needed. Who knows! On this AROS release default values i choose for resolution is 960x720 window mode, but if you want you can use any resolution supported by the system, open a shell, on the directory of the game and type: wipegame-aros-i386 0 1280 720 to run in a window of 1280x720 resolution or wipegame-aros-i386 0 640 480 to run in a window of 640x480 resolution or wipegame-aros-i386 -fullscreen 1280 720 to have a fullscreen of 1280x720 resolution Also there is a problem with the initial mpeg intro, it displays the movie but without audio on AROS. The music on the game is playing fine. Hope i could find the cause and fix in a next release. The mpeg intro could be deleted without problems, the game will starts fine without it. Tested playing with "The Gamepad" the USB pad of the A500Mini. You can customize controls using keys, Joystick or GamePad in game/options menu. Thanks to AMIGASYSTEM for the icons and for AROS One. Enjoy

Re: Bars&Pipes 1.0 is Available
Hi, Just seen the other instructions, here's some photos of the output (appears OK) Try this: -open a shell -cd to the BarsnPipes directory -start BarsnPipes with: BarsnPipes debug Normally any debug information is now printed. In BarsnPipes, drag the icon from the Quantize tool into the pipeline and drop it there. Double-click this icon in the pipeline. The window of the icon is opened. Leave the window open and click in the track window (title becomes red). Press the right AMIGA key and Q or select Quit in the menu. Requester -> Save? -> Press No If everything runs normally, a few debug messages will appear in the shell-window: " ..." "get entry for cowlist ..." at the end: "freelocalestrings Done"

Re: The Fulcrum Scene Demo
@deadwood I tested also mbx ( that use SDL+GL) and its working only after i add your advice to put hostgl in a file. The only problem is that the screen is flashing every number of seconds (i don't know how much), seems something like when a screenbuffer is flipped , but i could be wrong. The same thing happens also on abiv0 (noted but not reported when i was testing the i386 version). Maybe happen only on my PC...don't know. On a side note...i saw around 60 download of DUMB library but only 11 of this demo. Really odd ! Maybe there someone out there that need this library for something else. ;)

Yes thank you. I think i'll take one for the Drawer (Cassetto in italian) and still use the original one for the executable. Many thanks for your help. @deadwood I compiled Aros64bit (toolchain+linux64+contrib from github) and compilation goes ok. Next i compiled without problems Arrakis. But using SDL give me software failure (attached picture), when i changed using you SDL.library downloaded from the other thread all goes well (tested only Arrakis for now). Now i'll test some other progs.

Re: The Fulcrum Scene Demo
On the Archives you could now find the DUMB library that i used to compile this demo. Download here http://archives.aros-exec.org/?function=showfile&file=development/library/libdumb.i386-aros.zip This is only needed if you decide to compile this demo or other programs that need it.
